Read MoreAt the ANNUAL MEETING on Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, we will be electing four members to the Board of Directors; two Directors and two alternates.
If you are interested in serving on the board, or would like to nominate a member, please send an email with the name, address, phone number and email address to the CJAA Nominating Committee at [email protected]
Nominees must be current members of the CJAA, and willing and able to accept the responsibilities and duties of a board member.
4.16 — Duties of Directors — Directors shall exercise ordinary business judgment in managing the affairs of the Association. In acting in their official capacity as directors of the corporation, Directors shall act in good faith and take actions they reasonably believe to be in the best interests of the Association and that are not unlawful. In all other instances, the Board of Directors shall not take any action that they should reasonably believe would be opposed to the Association’s best interests or would be unlawful. A director shall not be liable if, in the exercise of ordinary care, the director acts in good faith, relying on written financial and legal statements provided by an accountant or attorney retained by the Association.
4.17 — Duties of Alternates — Alternates will attend the meetings of the Board of Directors and become familiar with the issues and workings of the Board. Alternates do not have a vote on the Board.
CJAA Directors serve a three-year term; Alternates serve a one-year term.
The nominating committee will review and vet the nominations and forward the qualified names to CJAA members on Tuesday, July 18th for the vote.
Members not attending the Annual Meeting can vote via Proxy or via Email. Proxy instructions are available on the CJAA Website in the Corporate Bylaws.
Proxy or email votes must be RECEIVED by the CJAA Secretary by Friday, July 21, 2017. His email is [email protected]
The final tally of ALL votes (proxy, email, in person) will take place at the ANNUAL MEETING on July 22, 2017 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Don’t miss the Jet Warbird Pilot Briefing on Wednesday, July 26th at 8:30am in the Warbird Briefing Room. This year’s briefing will cover a wide range of safety topics important to Jet Warbird Operators.
If you intend on flying in the Warbird Exhibition during the Airshow at Oshkosh and it is your first time, there is a mandatory Pilot Briefing “Flying at OSH for the First Time” held on Tuesday, July 25th and Friday, July 28th in the Warbird Briefing Room. Check the bulletin board for times. Even if it is not your first time, attending this briefing is a good way to get tuned up and ready to fly at Oshkosh.

Dinner on Thursday night at Pier 17 Restaurant in Sheboygan. Friday night dinner will be at Twisted Restaurant and Bar. The CJAA Annual Meeting is still scheduled for Saturday starting at 5:00pm at Afterburner's Restaurant at the Sheboygan Airport.
If you intend to fly in the Warbird Display at Oshkosh, you should join us in Sheboygan for some formation training and a briefing on Oshkosh procedures.
